In the Women’s Premier League (WPL) cricket, Delhi Capitals defeated Gujarat Giants by six wickets at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru last night. Put in to bat, Gujarat Giants managed to score 127 for nine in 20 overs. Bharti Fulmali top-scored with 40 runs, while Deandra Dottin contributed 26, helping the Giants post a competitive total.
In response, the Capitals overhauled the target of 128 runs, reaching 131 for 4 in just 15.1 overs. Jess Jonassen smashed 61 off 32 balls, while Shafali Verma added 44 off 27, guiding Delhi Capitals to a comfortable victory. Jonassen was declared the Player of the Match. With this win, Delhi Capitals move to the top of the points table.
