World MSME Day will be celebrated tomorrow on 27th June. In this context a two-day MSME conference is being organised by ASSOCHAM in Lucknow Uttar Pradesh on 26th and 27th June. In this program various industrial groups of Uttar Pradesh as well as bankers and startups are participating.

Akashvani correspondent reports that today, on the first day of the conference, Minister of MSME, UP Government Rakesh Sachan inaugurated the function. Addressing the program, he said that MSMEs will play a big role in making Uttar Pradesh one trillion  dollar economy, hence promoting MSMEs in Uttar Pradesh is the first priority of the state government. He said that at present there are 96 lakh MSME units in the state which generate employment on a large scale. The government’s policy is that these units should not face any kind of problem because MSMEs contribute 40% to the country’s GDP and their share in providing employment amounts to 62 percent.  

Today session were held on the topics like future of MSME finance ecosystem, quality readiness for Indian MSMEs, empowerment of women entrepreneurs etc. On 27th June sessions would be held on the themes like strategies to promote Agripreneurs in uttar pradesh, MSME vision for Viksit bharat etc.
