World Leaders extend warm greetings to Indians on Independence Day

As India celebrates its 78th Independence Day, world leaders have extended their greetings to the people of the country on the occasion. The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, extended warm greetings to India while hailing the ties between the two nations. Mr Blinken said that the US celebrates the ‘rich and diverse history’ of the Indian people. The US State Secretary also said that US-India cooperation is expanding at a rapid pace as the two countries continue to work together to advance their shared vision of a free, open, stable, and prosperous Indo-Pacific.

 

Israel also extended its best wishes to India on the occasion. Israel’s envoy to India Mr Naor Gilon also participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has thanked several world leaders for their wishes on the occasion of Independence Day today. In a social media post, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the President of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and the President of France Emmanuel Macron for their wishes and lauded the bilateral relations with these countries. He also highlighted the importance of working together for the benefit of people. The Prime Minister also thanked his counterparts from Nepal and Bhutan for their wishes.
