World Cerebral Palsy Day: World Cerebral Palsy Day is Together Stronger

Today is World Cerebral Palsy Day, which is a global observance that shines a spotlight on cerebral palsy. The day is celebrated every year on 6th October. The theme for this year's World Cerebral Palsy Day is Together Stronger. It highlights the importance of unity, collaboration, and mutual support within the cerebral palsy community and beyond. Cerebral palsy is a group of disorders that affect a person's ability to move and maintain balance and posture.

This day serves as a platform to raise awareness about Cerebral Palsy, support those living with the condition, and advocate for greater inclusion and understanding. It also emphasises that when individuals, families, caregivers, and communities come together, they become a powerful force for positive change and inclusion.

Talking to Akashwani News, Professor Sheffali Gulatii, Department of Pediatrics at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi elaborated on Cerebral Palsy along with the symptoms, treatment and methods to cope with the challenges faced by those having cerebral palsy.
