Today is World Cancer Day. The day is observed on 4th February to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. This year, World Cancer Day is being observed under the theme – United by Unique. This three-year campaign, running from 2025 to 2027, emphasises the significance of customised care, understanding that each person’s cancer experience is unique.
Talking exclusively to Akashvani News, a Professor in the Oncology department of AIIMS in New Delhi, Dr. M. D. Ray said that Cancer is a curable disease. He added that people need to monitor their health regularly and follow a healthy routine as precautionary steps to protect from cancer.
