In West Bengal, political parties and candidates are in field for full fledged campaign. Trinamool Congress heavyweight leader and general secretary Abhishek Bandhopadhyay will participate in a public rally at Katwa of Purba Bardhaman district today, whereas BJP state president Dr Sukanto Majumdar will take part in his parliamentary constituency Balurghat.

Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhary will participate in a political campaign at Berhampur of Murshidabad district of West Bengal.

Congress yesterday declared candidates name for eight parliamentary constituencies in West Bengal. Nawshad Siddiqui headed Indian Secular Front ISF also declared names for eight parliamentary constituencies yesterday. A seat sharing arrangement has already in process between Congress and Left Front. Left hand fielded 17 candidates and Congress has named 8 candidates in 42 lok sabha seats in West Bengal.
