The junior doctors, under the umbrella organization West Bengal Junior Doctors’ Front, have called for a rally today at noon at Swasthya Bhawan, the headquarters of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal. They are demanding the removal of the health secretary, Director Health Education DHE and Director Health. They informed at a press conference yesterday night in Kolkata that these top officials had signed the order letter which permitted the demolition besides the seminar hall in the name of renovation work at the R G Kar Medical College and Hospital. The body of the PGT doctor was found inside the seminar hall. It is suspected that this was done to eliminate the evidences of the gruesome rape and murder at the hospital on 9th August. The junior doctors have demanded that these individuals and the Deputy Commissioner (North) of the Kolkata Police be included in the CBI investigation in this case.
