In West Bengal, voting in the by-election to the six assembly constituencies ended peacefully. Some incidents of violence and intimidation have been reported in certain areas. The Election Commission has called for a report on the incidents. More than 60 per cent voter turnout has been recorded till 5 pm. A total of 42 candidates are in the fray.
