By-elections to the six assembly constituencies in West Bengal will be held tomorrow. The Haroa and Naihati seats in North 24 Parganas district, Medinipur in Paschim Medinipur district, Madarihat in Alipurduars district, Sitai in Coochbehar district, and Taldangra in Bankura district will go to the by-election. More than 15 lakh electors will participate in the voting process to decide the political fate of 42 candidates. The Election Commission has taken all possible measures to conduct a free and fair election. Central paramilitary forces, along with state police, will be deployed. A live webcasting system will also be in place.
