In Tamilnadu, due to the increase in rainfall in Karnataka and bordering districts of the State, water levels in reservoirs located in adjacent areas have been increasing. Hence, the district administration of Krishnagiri district has given a warning to those residing near the reservoirs to move to a safer place. The water level in Thenpennaiyaar, in Krishnagiri district witnessed an increase to 50 feet. The total capacity of the reservoir is 52 feet. The district administration has said that 1066 cusecs of water will be released today.
