Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar today urged all political parties to have dialogue in parliament and state legislature. He called for friendly and cooperative communication among all. The Vice president was addressing a joint sitting of the Maharashtra State Legislature at the Legislative Assembly Hall in Mumbai today. He said, the problems of the people can be solved only if the ruling party and the opposition come together. He urged them to work for the welfare of the people.

Mr. Dhankhar expressed his displeasure at the manner in which Parliament and the legislature were functioning. He appealed to all political parties not to encourage attempts to create a ruckus but to give maximum opportunities to those who follow discipline. He said that dialogue is important in a democracy, but expressed displeasure over the absence of dialogue. The Vice President said, the powers and duties of the three pillars of democracy are fairly distributed. He urged the three pillars to live up to their responsibilities and called upon them to interact and work in synergy.

On this occasion, he gave an example of the rule of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to the audience. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Ramesh Bais called for giving priority to various issues of the people, including women, youth, and climate change. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that the Vice President has made efforts to take the country forward and to enrich democracy. Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar said, the presence of the Vice President is important to strengthen democracy and take forward the principles of democracy.

Deputy Speaker Neelam Gorhe concluded by saying that the guidance given by the Vice President will be useful in the future.
