Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar said that the future of our country is determined by the youth and the enthusiasm and commitment of the youth will lead our country towards the vision of a developed nation.He said that the country has a good environment for the youth to grow and they can develop their interest and talent in India.Vice President was addressing the 12th graduation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala today.
Mr Dhankar said that our country is developing and global organizations like International Monetary Fund and World Bank had acknowledge it. He further said that global countries have recognized India’s space achievements and our space missions in the past year are commendable. He further appreciated the efforts of ISRO in taking the space sector to greater heights that helped in improving foreign relations and improving life of people at large.
Mr. Dhankar awarded gold medals to the top scorers at the convocation. ISRO chairman and IIST governing body Chairman S. Somanath, and IIST Director Dr. Unnikrishanan participated in the function.
Vice President who is on a two-day visit to Kerala was accorded a warm welcome at Thiruvananthapuram by Governor Arif Muhammed Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and other officials. Mr.Dhankar will return to Delhi tomorrow.
