Voting held in nine Lok Sabha seats in third phase of Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh

Voting is being held on nine Lok Sabha seats in the third phase of Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh today. There are 5 thousand 744 critical polling stations in this phase while more than 16 thousand polling stations are being continuously monitored through webcasting and CCTV.

 

Voting is being held in Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Vidisha, Bhopal, Rajgarh and Betul in Madhya Pradesh today.  In the third phase, more than 1 crore 77 lakh voters are deciding the fate of 127 candidates. The highest number of 22 candidates is in Bhopal and the lowest number of 7 candidates is in Bhind.

 
Some of the prominent candidates of this phase include Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia from Guna, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh from Rajgarh, former Union Minister Kantilal Bhuria from Jhabua, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan from Vidisha and former Mayor Alok Sharma from Bhopal.
 
 
In this phase, the vote of around 49 lakh voters between 18 and 29 years is considered important. More than 80 thousand employees are handling the responsibility of voting.
