The counting of votes for Dumri bye-election will start today from 8 am. All preparations including counting personnel, micro-observers, security have been completed by the Giridih district administration. Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer Giridih Naman Priyesh Lakra told Akashvani News that there will be a total of 24 rounds in the counting on 16 tables. The DC said that a ban has been imposed on carrying mobile phones, matchsticks, beedis, cigarettes and weapons to the counting venue. Total 6 candidates including Yashoda Devi of NDA alliance and Baby Devi of INDIA alliance are in fray in this bye-election.
