The Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, is on one day visit to Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore District in Andhra Pradesh today.
Upon his arrival at the Police Parade Grounds in Nellore from Tirupati, the Vice President was warmly welcomed by the Governor of the State, Abdul Nazeer, Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development Ponguru Narayana, Minister of Endowments Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and other state government officials.
From there, he proceeded to Akshara Vidyalaya in Saraswati Nagar, Venkatachelam.
The school correspondent Deepa Venkat briefed the Vice President on the educational system and teaching methods being implemented at Akshara Vidyalaya.
The Vice President also inspected the Skill Development Center being run at the school, emphasizing the importance of providing training in skill development to the youth in the current scenario.
Subsequently, the Vice President arrived at Swarna Bharat Trust, where he was welcomed by the former Vice President, M. Venkaiah Naidu. Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar was briefed on the various services provided by the trust.
The Vice President participated as the chief guest in the 23rd Annual Day celebrations of the Swarna Bharat Trust.
