Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is on a one-day visit to Nagpur today, August 4. He will participate in the centenary celebrations of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University and will address the annual 'Praniti' program of the National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT).
Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will also be present on this occasion. The Vice President is on his first visit to the Sub-capital of Maharashtra- Nagpur. On the occasion of the centenary celebrations of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, the Vice President will distribute the Ideal Education Institution Award, the Ideal Officer Award, the Ideal Employee Award, Centenary Festival Gold Medal and the Outstanding Student Award.
He will give the inaugural address to "PRANEETI" – the lecture series in NADT. This lecture series is by eminent Indians aimed at instilling a sense of pride, participation and the principle of paying back to society. The lecture series will provide an opportunity for Officer Trainees of NADT to interact with accomplished achievers of society and prepare them for their future role as tax facilitators. The vice president will leave on the same day for Delhi.
