Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar addresses 50th Foundation Day Ceremony of IP & TAFS in New Delhi

 

Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar today remarked that Indian democracy has to be centred on the balance of expression and dialogue. He also emphasized that democracy thrives not just on systems but on core values.

The Vice-President made these remarks while addressing the 50th Foundation Day Programme of Indian Posts and Telecommunications Accounts, and Finance Service in New Delhi.

He said, Today’s institutional challenges from within and without often stem from the erosion of meaningful dialogue and authentic expression. He mentioned that expression and dialogue complement each other and Harmony between the two is the key to success.

Mr. Dhankhar said that Self-audit is very important and degeneration of institutions or individuals is assured who are beyond scrutiny. He added that modern civil servants must be tech savvy, facilitators of change, transcending traditional administrative boundaries.

The vice-president urged government officials to focus on bridging the digital divide through innovative financing models for rural technology adoption.

In his address, Union Minister of Communications, Jyotiraditya Scindia highlighted and appreciated the significant works of Indian Posts and Telecommunications Accounts, and Finance Service in the last five decades.

He added that both departments are fulfilling India’s dream into reality. Mr. Scindia expressed confidence that India is on the path to become world power and lead the world.
