Uttarakhand: State Met Department issued red alert of heavy to very heavy rain in Garhwal and Kumaon regions during next 48 hours

In Uttarakhand, the state Met Department has issued a red alert of heavy to very heavy rain in Garhwal and Kumaon regions during the next 48 hours.

Additionally, there is a yellow alert warning of heavy rain in other districts of the state until Friday. According to the department, a red alert warning has been issued for Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Bageshwar, Nainital, Champawat, and Udham Sing Nagar districts.  In the meantime, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the State Emergency Operation Center in Dehradun to review the situation in the state.  Uttarakhand State Emergency Operation Center has also asked all District Magistrates to take precautions in their respective districts in view of the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall.
