In Uttarakhand, Voting for the Lok Sabha elections will be held on April 19 from 7 am to 5 pm. Polling parties have commenced their journey to reach remote polling stations across the state.
Today, a total of 12 polling parties embarked on their journey to remote polling stations in Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh districts.
With this, the process of departure of polling parties have started in the state. State Chief Electoral Officer, Dr. BVRC Purushottam, announced that, tomorrow an additional 700 polling parties will be dispatched, followed by the remaining 11 thousand on April 18th.
To ensure a peaceful and secure voting process, 65 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed across the state.
