In Uttarakhand, persistent rainfall over the past 36 hours has disrupted normal life, particularly in the hilly regions. Continuous rainfall has raised water levels in major rivers and rivulets, and landslides have been reported in mountainous districts, causing significant disruptions to vehicular traffic. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the situation at the State Emergency Operations Center in Dehradun today. He received updates from officials about the rainfall’s impact and has directed District Magistrates and SDRF teams to stay vigilant due to the continuing heavy rains. The Chief Minister has also urged residents to avoid unnecessary travel.
