The Badrinath National Highway in Uttarakhand has been opened for two-wheelers near Joshimath in Chamoli district. However, the movement of heavy vehicles is still closed on this route. This route was blocked for traffic due to a massive landslide on July 9. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for light to moderate rain in different parts and heavy rain at isolated places in the state in the coming days.
