Uttar Pradesh Assembly monsoon session has started from today and will continue till Friday. At the beginning of the session, UP Vidhan Sabha speaker Satish Mahana welcomed Samajwadi Party leader Mata Prasad Pandey who has been appointed as the Leader of the Opposition in the House while UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath introduced four new ministers in the assembly.

 
With the start of the monsoon session, the opposition created a ruckus on the issue of electricity crises in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier before the commencement of the monsoon session, the Chief Minister congratulated Samajwadi party leader Mata Prasad Pandey on his appointment as Leader of Opposition in UP Vidhansabha. The Chief Minister also expressed confidence that the opposition will make a valuable contribution to the ongoing monsoon session. Shri Yogi said that the State budget of UP has already been passed in February 2024. He said that keeping in mind the current budgetary requirements, the first supplementary demand for the state will be presented in the House tomorrow.

 
Earlier, the Chief Minister had inaugurated the newly constructed committee room at Vidhan Bhavan and released a book on Speaker Satish Mahana’s two years in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly.
