President, Prime Minister expressed grief over roadway bus accident in Hathras, UP

President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed grief over the loss of lives in the Hathras road accident. In a social media post, the president expressed condolences to the bereaved families who lost their loved ones. The President also wished speedy recovery to the injured. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the incident was extremely painful. The Prime Minister also wished speedy recovery to the people injured in the mishap.

 

In a social media post, Mr Modi said, under the supervision of the state government, the local administration is engaged in helping the victims in every possible way. Prime Minister Modi has announced an ex-gratia of two lakh rupees from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the next of kin of each deceased. The injured will be given 50 thousand rupees.

 

In Uttar Pradesh, at least 12 people, including four children, were killed after a head-on collision between the vehicle in which they were travelling and a roadway bus in Hathras district yesterday. 16 others were injured in the accident. District Magistrate of Hathras to Akashvani News said that the mishap took place near village Meetai in Chandpa Police Station area on National Highway-93. The injured are undergoing treatment in the district hospital. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also announced an ex-gratia of 2 lakh rupees for the family of each deceased and 50,000 rupees for the injured.
