In the United States, a faculty member at the University of North Carolina was shot dead at Chapel Hill last night. Police have arrested the suspect after over three hours when the initial reports of shots fired came in from Caudill Labs. The names of the faculty member and the suspect were not immediately released.

The motive behind the shooting is not yet clear. Classes & events have been cancelled for today & tomorrow.
