US stocks logged gains yesterday, led by a surge in stocks expected to benefit from Republican President-elect Donald Trump’s potential fiscal policies. The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced over 0.6 per cent, the S&P 500 gained 0.1 per cent, and the Nasdaq Composite was marginally up 0.06 per cent.
