US stocks closed higher yesterday, led by artificial intelligence-related stocks, while US steelmakers’ stocks surged after President Donald Trump announced he would impose additional tariffs on steel and aluminium imports. The Nasdaq Composite gained nearly one percent, the S&P 500 rose over 0.6 percent, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 0.38 percent.
