US stocks reached record highs yesterday, led by rally in technology stocks. Meanwhile, the investors also digested the President-elect Donald Trump’s tariff announcements on top trade partners and the latest minutes from the Federal Reserve that showed officials support moving gradually to lower interest rates, given stronger than expected US economic growth and fading concerns about the health of the labour market.
The Nasdaq composite jumped over 0.6 percent to end at 19,175, the S&P 500 climbed over half percent to close at 6,022, surpassing the all-time high it reached a couple of weeks ago, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.28 percent to settle 44,860, setting a new record just a day after its previous high.
