In volatile trade, US stocks ended marginally lower yesterday. The major stocks fell amid a stormy week during which benchmark Treasury yields hit 16-year highs and investors digested the Federal Reserve's hawkish outlook revisions.
The Nasdaq Composite index slipped 0.1 percent, the S&P 500 fell 0.2 percent and the Dow Jones Industrial index declined 0.3 percent.
All three posted weekly losses, with the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq registering their largest Friday-to-Friday percentage drops since March this year.
