Key US stocks ended lower yesterday as investors weighed chances that the Federal Reserve could delay cutting interest rates.

At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined one per cent, the S&P 500 fell 0.70 per cent, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.95 per cent.
