US Open Tennis kicks off in New York

In Tennis, the fourth and final Grand Slam of the season, the US Open kicked off in New York today.
 
In Women's Singles, top seed and defending champion Iga Swiatek of Poland will be in action against Sweden’s Rebecca Peterson at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in the opening round later tonight. Other women players to be in action later tonight are, fourth seed Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan, eighth seed Maria Sakkari of Greece, 10th seed Karolína Muchová of Czech Republic, and 18th seed Belarusian player Victoria Azarenka.
 
In Men's Singles, fourth seed Danish player Holger Rune, fifth seed Casper Ruud of Norway, and 10th seed American Taylor Fritz will be in action later tonight. Second seed Serbian Novak Djokovic is bidding for his fourth US Open Men’s Singles title and will look to equal Margaret Court's record of 24 Grand Slams, the most by any player in history. He will face Alexandre Muller of France in the first round tomorrow morning.
