The Indo-Australian pair next face the Argentinean duo of Andrés Molteni and Maximo Gonzalez.
In another Men’s Doubles match, the Indo-Argentinean combination of N. Sriram Balaji and Guido Andreozzi lost to the Australian-British pair of Michael Venus and Neal Skupski in the second round.
India’s Rohan Bopanna also progressed to the second round of Mixed Doubles along with his partner Aldila Sutjiadi of Indonesia. In Men’s Singles, Paris Olympic Silver medalist, Carlos Alcaraz suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of unseeded Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp 6-1, 7-5, 6-4.
