The 17th Urban Mobility India Conference and Exhibition will begin at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar today. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the three-day conference organized by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. More than 3000 dignitaries including senior officials and policy makers from Central and State Governments and experts in urban transport will participate in this conference.
Briefing the reporters in Gandhinagar, Joint Secretary in Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs Jaideep said the conference will mainly focus on standardization of the urban mobility solutions and integration of various modes of urban mobility.
Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will preside over the concluding session of the conference. In the concluding session, cities will be awarded in eight different categories for best urban management.
