UP, Nagaland Announce Class 10 and 12 Results, With Girls Outperforming Boys

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad and the Nagaland Board of School Education have announced the Class 10 and 12 results today. While releasing the results in Prayagraj, the Director of Education (Secondary) Mahendra Dev said that the passing percentage for intermediate students is 81.15 percent. Mehak Jaiswal of Prayagraj secured the top spot with 97.20 percent. Mehak Jaiswal mentioned that she wants to become a doctor and expressed gratitude for the support of her elder sister, family members, and teachers.

This year, the passing percentage for high school students is 90.11 percent. Yash Pratap Singh of Jalaun has secured first position in the state with 97.83 percent in the high school results. Yash Pratap Singh credited his success to consistent hard work and dedication.

In the high school results, girls outperformed boys with a 93.87 percent pass rate compared to 86.66 percent. Of the 25.45 lakh students who appeared for the exams, 13.27 lakh were boys and 12.18 lakh were girls. A similar trend was seen in the Intermediate exams, where girls had an 86.37 percent pass rate, while boys scored 76.60 percent.

 

The overall Class 12 pass rate was 81.15 percent. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the students and announced that all the state and district-level toppers will be honoured.

 

Meanwhile, girls outshone boys yet again in the Nagaland Board of School Education examinations.

 

The overall pass percentage for the 10th class exams was recorded at 75.16 percent, with the qualified percentage for girls at 75.40 percent, surpassing the 74.90 percent for boys. Lungyihangle Nring topped the Nagaland Board’s 10th class with 98.67 percent. In the 12th class, Vikhono Senotsu from Government Higher Secondary School Jotsoma topped the Arts stream with 96.20 percent. In the Commerce stream, Arti Kumari secured first with 94.60 percent, while Snigdha Mukherjee topped the Science stream with 93.40 percent.
