The Communicable Diseases Control Campaign or Sanchari Rog Niyantran Campaign has started in Uttar Pradesh today. Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak launched the campaign at the Community Health Center in Aliganj, Lucknow. He said that everyone has to join hands to get rid of mosquito-borne diseases.

As part of the campaign, special teams will go door-to-door to sensitize people to control communicable diseases. Mr Pathak said that 13 departments of the state government are engaged in making the campaign successful. Under the campaign, a special drive of cleaning and sanitization, anti-larva spraying and fogging will be conducted throughout the month in urban and rural areas.
