UP: Davis Cup matches to be played in the state after 23 years; draw ceremony to take place today between India and Morocco

In Uttar Pradesh, the Davis Cup matches will be played in the state after 23 years. Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath thanked the All India Tennis Association for selecting Uttar Pradesh for this competition during the draw ceremony of India and Morocco today in Lucknow.
 
AIR correspondent reports that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath informed that the state sports infrastructure has been improved. Today, 83 stadiums, 12 synthetic tennis courts, 38 swimming pools, 15 synthetic hockey stadiums, 3 synthetic running tracks, and 2 international cricket stadiums have been completed in the state.
 
Davis Cup World Group 2 matches will be played at the Vijayant Khand Mini Stadium in Lucknow on Saturday and Sunday. Due to the extreme humid conditions in the city, match timings have been changed for the convenience of the players and fans. Matches have been rescheduled from 12 noon to 2 pm on Saturday and from 11 am to 1 pm on Sunday.
