Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the 73rd All India Police Wrestling Cluster tournament in Lucknow today. Thirty-four police force teams from Central, State, and Union Territories across the country are participating in this competition. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that the police forces are working towards the common goal of safeguarding India. He mentioned that a comprehensive action plan for sports has been implemented in Uttar Pradesh, and so far, more than 500 players who have won medals for the country in World Championships have been directly recruited into the UP Police. The 73rd All India Police Wrestling Cluster 2024 event is being held in Lucknow from September 9 to 13. Director General of SSB Daljit Singh Chaudhary and DGP UP Prashant Kumar were also present at the inauguration of the event.
