In Uttar Pradesh, four children were killed and their parents injured in a fire at their home in the Pallavapuram area of Meerut district yesterday. The injured were rushed to a hospital, where the children died during treatment. Their father is out of danger, but their mother’s condition is critical. Police said, the fire started from a short circuit while a mobile phone was being charged. The short circuit led to a bed sheet catching fire. Further details are awaited.
