Union Ministers and Members of Parliament take part in 'Har Ghar Tiranga' bike rally in Delhi, ahead of Independence Day celebrations

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar flagged off the Tiranga Bike rally from Pragati Maidan in the national capital this Morning. Culture and Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy, Information, Broadcasting and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur, Minister of State for Agriculture Shobha Karandlaje, Minister of State for Power and Heavy Industries, and many Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs participated in the Tiranga yatra ahead of the Independence Day celebrations. The rally culminated at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium.

Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha and Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal, and Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office Dr. Jitendra Singh were present during flagging off of the Bike Rally.  

Talking to the media, Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy said that the Har Ghar Tiranga programme is being held till 15th August as part of the concluding program of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. He said, every citizen should be a part of it. 

Under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Har Ghar Tiranga will be celebrated across the nation, wherein people will be encouraged to hoist flags in their premises. The idea behind the campaign is to instill the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and reminisce about the journey of India and those who have contributed towards creating this great nation. Last year, this campaign witnessed immense success wherein crores of households hoisted the Tiranga in their homes physically, and six Crore people uploaded selfies on Har Ghar Tiranga website.
