A central team along with Union Minister V Muraleedharan visited Mudalapozhi in Thiruvananthapuram today, where multiple fishing boat accidents are being reported, the recent one claiming the lives of four fishermen last week. The central team held discussions with the representatives of fishermen in the region. The Fisheries Development Commissioner, Fisheries Assistant Commissioner and CICEF Director were in the team. 

Union Minister V Muraleedharan said that a permanent solution will be found in Mudalapozhi after taking into account the views of State Govt. The Minister further said that a team consisting of more technical experts will visit the place. The central team visited the place after Mr.Muralidharan took the matter of the continuing dangers in Mudalapozhi with Union Fisheries Minister Parshotham Rupala.
