Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Inaugurates ‘Sangathan Swasthya Samriddhi’ Conclave in New Delhi

Union Minister of Rural Development and Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, inaugurated ‘National Conclave: Sangathan Swasthya Samriddhi’ at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in New Delhi today.

 

The conclave focusses on women’s collectives’ action on food, nutrition, health, and WASH. In his address, Mr. Chauhan said that Swasthya and Poshan are key factors for the country, and without them, Vikshit Bharat cannot be imagined. He stressed that women are dedicated to working to change the country’s image.

 

On the occasion, Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications, Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, said that self-help groups are not only a group but also the backbone of a country’s development.

 

During the conclave, NITI Aayog Member Dr VK Paul spoke on the basic health facilities at ground level and shared his experience and suggestions. He said if the human capital is healthy, the country will automatically develop. Our correspondent reports that women, including self-help groups, from across the country are attending the conclave.
