Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal announces 6 new Ayush hospitals to be set up in Assam

Union AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal announced that 6 new Ayush hospitals will be set up in Assam. Inaugurating a 50 bedded Ayush hospital at Majuli today, Mr. Sonowal said that four 50 bedded hospitals will come up in Kaliabor, Morigaon, Kokrajhar, and Baksa, while one 30 bedded hospital will be set up at Diphu. He added that one 10-bed hospital will be established at Bajali. Apart from these, the Union Minister also confirmed operationalization of 289 Ayush Health and Wellness Centres in Assam and stated that 200 more such centres will be operational in the state soon. Mr. Sonowal further announced that 100 Ayush dispensaries will be set up in all districts of Assam.
 
He said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the traditional medicine and healthcare system has got a tremendous shot in the arm.
