Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita, emphasized the need for the Global South to play a central role in global collaborations to establish strong and equitable partnerships. Speaking at the Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi, he highlighted the significant potential for enhancing economic growth, particularly in trade and investment, with like-minded partners, including Latin America and the Caribbean. He noted that relations have progressed considerably, fostering meaningful cooperation in education, Information Technology, medicine, and engineering, which will further strengthen solidarity among Global South countries. The Minister said that India’s engagement with Latin America has been actively expanding, a momentum further reinforced last year with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Guyana for the second India-CARICOM Summit.
