Union Minister of State for Tourism Ajay Bhatt held an interactive meeting with the tourism sector stakeholders in Bengaluru today. Speaking about the post-COVID scenario, the Minister explained how India led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recovered from the pandemic and is today on the path to progress. He also noted that the Tourism sector has also recovered today with many tourists thronging the places of interest in India.
He also mentioned the Vibrant villages being developed in the country by improving connectivity and also how the borders are being opened up for tourists. It was informed in the meeting that the Tourism Ministry will launch a new website in two months with contact numbers of sellers and buyers and also licensed tourist Guides. It was brought to the notice of the ministers by the travel and hotel industry representatives that many tourist places lack toilets, electric vehicle charging ports, and licensed guides. The minister asked the Karnataka state Government to send a proposal to utilise the HAL airport.
