Union Road Transport and Highways Minister, Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the ‘Sadak Suraksha Abhiyaan 2025’ in Mumbai yesterday. In a symbolic gesture of commitment in the “Suraksha Reloaded” event organized by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

Mr Gadkari, along with all attendees, took the pledge for Sadak Suraksha Abhiyaan and reaffirmed a shared responsibility to instil sensitivity and empathy among youth who are the future stewards of road safety.

Mr Gadkari further said that the parents also need to be aware of the law by which a case is registered on the parents if a minor child has caused an accident. The Minister urged that elders should speak about road safety with children in the family.  Shri Gadkari also interacted with young school students.
