Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari attended the swearing-in ceremony of Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian in the capital Tehran yesterday. Mr Gadkari conveyed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s wishes to President Pezeshkian on assuming office. A statement released by the Ministry of External Affairs said, the two sides also assessed the state of bilateral relations, including cooperation on the development of Chabahar Port. Both sides also underscored that Chabahar Port would contribute to strengthening bilateral and regional trade. The Chabahar Port would provide access to landlocked Afghanistan and Central Asian countries to regional and global markets.
