Union Minister of State for Information Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr.L. Murugan, today participated in the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign in Chennai. Speaking to the media, Mr. Murugan said that for the past 10 years, the government has been keen on the nation’s growth and infrastructure development. He said that for the next 25 years, the clear cut path of development has been shown in the increase of express highways, industrial corridors, and also all the ports.
He said that the airports have been transformed in all respects. The Minister said that the Centre has played a positive role in developing Tamil Nadu and listed out the various measures taken in areas like manufacturing defence materials under the Make in India scheme and exporting them to other countries. Mr. Murugan appealed to the public to wear Khadi on the 2nd of October to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday.
