Minister of State for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Kirti Vardhan Singh held a review meeting with officials from the Wetlands Division of the ministry and the Forest Department of Uttar Pradesh at the Parvati Arga Bird Sanctuary. In a social media post, Mr Singh said, the meeting was organized in preparation for the celebration of World Wetlands Day, scheduled for the 1st and 2nd of the next month. He said that this wetland is a designated Ramsar site and is home to a rich array of biodiversity, both aquatic and avian. The minister added that the sanctuary is fully prepared to host the event, which will aim to engage the local community and raise awareness about the crucial role wetlands play in the environment.
