Union Minister Jitendra Singh inaugurates 3-day training programme for Kendriya Bhandar officials

Minister of State of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Dr. Jitendra Singh, inaugurated a three-day training programme in New Delhi for Kendriya Bhandar officials. The training will be given by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Singh said that the three ‘S’, Skill, Speed and Scale are the key to capacity building for StartUps as also for those engaged in any other vocation.
 
Talking about the importance of the training programme, Dr. Singh said that training and constant upgrading of skills are the two main aspects constantly reiterated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 
 
Appreciating the measures of Kendriya Bhandars during Covid 19, Dr. Singh said that Kendriya Bhandar is undertaking a lot of reforms and thus making a turn-around.  As a result, profits soared over 30 per cent. He said that Kendriya Bhandar achieved an all-time record with a five-fold growth of approximately four thousand crores in 2021-22, from 750 crores in 2017-18.
 
Dr. Singh lauded IIM Raipur for their consistent efforts in imparting skill training to various officials. Kendriya Bhandar is the first organization in India to get all its employees trained by IIM, Raipur.
 
Kendriya Bhandar was set up in 1963 as a Welfare Project. It has been registered as a Multi-State Co-operative Society in 2002 with shareholding of the government and government employees.
