Union Minister Giriraj Singh today criticised Nitish Kumar-led government for not being part of PM Vishwakarma scheme. The Union Minister was addressing the inaugural function of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme at Urja Auditorium in Patna on 17th September 2023. He said the Nitish Government has opted out from the inaugural programme of the scheme in Bihar and it is an insult to craftsmen, traditional artisans, and workers of the State who belong to backward strata of the society.
Mr. Singh said the PM Vishwakarma Scheme will not only skill workers but arrange money and training facilities for them. Around 30 lakh poor people will benefit from it. He said Prime Minister Modi has given visionary ideas for the skilling, upskilling, and reskilling of traditional artisans and craftsmen.
In Muzaffarpur, Union Food Processing Industries Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras inaugurated the function while Union Minister of State for Education Annapurna Devi participated in the programme at Gaya.
