Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, George Kurian, inaugurated the Animal Quarantine and Certification Services at the Cochin International Airport this morning. Addressing the event, the Minister said it would prove beneficial to both society and animals and termed the new facility an initiative to uphold the country’s tradition of loving all living beings. With the launch of the service, Kochi joins New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad airports in the country, where similar facilities exist for pets.
